The 3rd Annual Kauai Orchid and Art Festival was held on Friday and Saturday in the classic town of Hanapepe.  I had the opportunity to spend the afternoon admiring the beautiful flowers,art and just enjoying being at a small town event on the west side of the island.

The entertainment was one of my favorite young,contemporary musicians, Makana from the island of Oahu.  I brought my Flip Video and picked this clip to share with you.  It is the first time I have posted a video online and I hope you enjoy it!   The song that Makana performs was written in 1887 by King Kalakaua for Queen Kapi'olani.
